Stephen McHugh, CEO, CPIM
In December 1989, Stephen started working with the QAD® system and Progress® 4GL language and database. During his time as a QAD, Inc. employee, he developed an expertise in QAD software and refined his support, customization, training, and software engineering skills. Additionally, he installed all aspects of QAD and played an integral role in developing the following QAD modules:
- Repetitive manufacturing
- Operations planning
- Quality control
- Lot reference traceability
Stephen founded Broom Street in October 1993 with a company focus of Progress 4GL programming in conjunction with QAD implementations and customizations. Throughout the years, he has developed a successful track record and become a recognized expert, proving to be an important part of the implementation phase for many large and small operations.
Martin Cohen, COO and Partner
Martin has more than 25 years of experience in the software development and integrated circuit engineering industries. As Partner and COO, he focuses on corporate operations, legal, marketing, strategy and also assist with implementing, customizing, maintaining, and training for the QAD ERP system.
Previously, Martin spent five years as the IT manager for an international integrated circuit engineering company that is a worldwide leader in the design, development, and marketing of silicon timing devices for high-growth application segments. Additionally, he has experience in quality assurance and configuration positions in the software engineering arena.
Martin earned a Computer Science bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University and minored in Electrical Engineering at Penn State University. In addition he has various ERP/MRP/service-related certifications. Currently, he serves as Chair of the department of mathematics and computer science on LaSalle University’s advisory board. He previously served on the board of directors of Aerielle, a startup consumer electronics company, where he raised capital to facilitate growth and assisted with strategic council. Martin has two U.S. patents in the space of consumer electronics.
Mark J. Mosley, MSCE, RHCE, Senior Technical Consultant
Mark has worked with enterprise networks and server systems for more than 20 years. He has held engineering roles for various organizations, including American Express, GE Capital, and Computer Sciences Corporation. In 2001, he served as a full-time consultant for the Department of Defense, working on a large-scale implementation of a VPN network for over 80 military sites. More recently, he spent time providing various IT consulting services for manufacturing companies, including support for ERP systems, enterprise servers, and network infrastructure.
Mark holds certifications from Microsoft, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco Systems.
Frankie Tayar, Senior Account Manager
Frankie is an integral part of Broom Street QAD Service, Web Portal products and Mobile Apps development. Frankie has been leading the CRM, Customer and Supplier Portals and being major part of the Android Mobile Desk applications development. Frankie provides leadership, knowledge, development skills and overall positive can-do attitude to Broom Street projects.
Frankie has been a software developer since 1990. Since 1996, Frankie provided software development inside and outside the QAD® system and Progress® 4GL language and database world. Frankie’s expertise extend to programming languages like Progress, PHP, Java, C, PL/1, Swift, databases like Progress, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Adabas, operating systems and platforms like Unix, Linux, MVS, CICS, VMS and Windows, and platform development like Web and Mobile.
Frankie holds a B.A in Computer Science and M.A. in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickenson University, NJ
Eric Tayar, Senior Project Manager
Over 30 years of information systems and project management experience. Eric was a co-founder and CEO of a start up company (IHL Inc.) a consulting and software development company. The company’s sales volume grew to an average of $2MM in 1998-2000, and a staff of 23 professionals in two locations (Buffalo NY and Cherry Hill NJ).
The company supported their clients in four areas:
1. Consulting in the area of Manufacturing, Fulfillment, Inventory and shop floor control, Distribution and Administration.
2. Database Design, Construction and Maintenance.
3. Programming.
4. Outsourced Ongoing Operations.
The company primarily supported ERP products – MFG/PRO, as well as proprietary packages such as flexEDI and flexCall. Sizeable customization / product development efforts covered areas such as Order Processing, Shop Floor Control, Call Center, EDI management, Inventory Control, Point Of Sale, Fulfillment, Surveys. Most all of the development was performed using Progress® 4GL. Among The company clients were Lucent Technologies, Rand McNally, Sprint, General Electric, Alcoa, Netscape, MCI, R&B, Direct Fulfillment and more.
